Bone forms biological bond with dental implants

Embark on a journey towards a revitalised smile and renewed confidence with our dental implants consultation. Implants have been in use for more than three decades and over the years they have become a more affordable treatment option.

Many patients choose implants because they allow them to smile with confidence, eat the foods they like, and also because they are more secure and less invasive towards their healthy teeth as any other solution used to substitute missing teeth.

Benefits of Having Implants

Replacing teeth with implants has several major advantages over traditional methods.

Implants not only resemble a natural tooth but also feel and function like one.
No adjacent teeth need to be "cut back" during the procedure.
The implant replaces the root of the tooth, allowing the bone to be preserved.
They help to prevent bone collapse and improve long-term aesthetics.
Implants are an excellent way to close the gap left by the loss of a single tooth, both aesthetically and functionally. If the gap is not filled, other teeth may move and tilt forward into the space, causing crowding and lengthening of existing teeth

Implants are an excellent alternative to traditional methods in these cases as well. The implants act as additional supporting abutments for carrying a bridge and thus do not damage adjacent teeth.

Implants Process

01
Consultation and Planning
Before embarking on your dental implant journey, we begin with a comprehensive consultation and planning phase. This initial step is crucial for understanding your unique concerns, goals, and any anxieties you may have. Our friendly dental team will take the time to discuss your objectives for treatment and address any questions you may have. Utilising advanced scanners, we'll take X-rays and impressions of your teeth to create a personalised treatment plan tailored specifically to your needs.
02
Placement and Restoration
Once your treatment plan is finalised, we will move on to the next phase: implant placement and restoration. On the day of your procedure, our priority is ensuring your comfort and relaxation. Using gentle and precise techniques, our skilled dentist will place the implant into your jawbone. Following the procedure, we'll provide you with detailed post-operative care instructions to promote healing and ensure a smooth recovery process. Once your implant has fully healed, we'll invite you back to our practice to have your crown or restoration securely attached. Throughout the entire process, our team will be available to provide you with exceptional care and support.

Duration: How Long Will It Take?

This treatment is carried out over a number of months. The initial appointment will establish whether you are a good candidate for implants. Your dental health, the amount of bone in the area, and your overall health and wellness will all be evaluated by the dentist.

You can book your first appointment if it is decided that you are a good candidate for the treatment. The initial procedure is to put a post into the jaw bone, which will serve as the tooth replacement's "root." Then, once the post is in place, you will have to wait a few months. During this time, the body fortifies the post's placement by growing supporting bone in the area. Depending on your individual situation, this waiting period could be anywhere from three to six months.

The permanent crown is set on top of the post at the final appointment. Before the crown can be installed, you may need to return to the dentist for a few check-ups. The dentist must ensure that the post is robust enough to support the crown.

What Do Implants Cost?

Implants can also be used to fix dentures and bridges, making them more secure and comfortable allowing patients to chew and smile as with their natural teeth. The value of dental implants far exceeds conventional treatment options. Generally the cost of a single crown implant with crown at Inverurie Smile Care starts from £2750 onwards.

We offer flexible finance options available where you can get your implant for £159.05 per month over18 months (5.9% APR). Financing options and payments can be adjusted according to your budget.

Guarantee

Implants – 10-year guarantee

If an implant fails to integrate, it will be removed and replaced at no additional cost if it is deemed necessary for the case's long-term success.

Restorations – 5-year guarantee

Any fractures or failures of porcelain or other prosthodontic components on implants and premier restorative work completed by Inverurie Smile Care will be repaired or replaced at no additional cost. We advise all patients who grind their teeth to wear the night guard/bite plate that will be provided with their permanent teeth.

Conditions of guarantee

The patient must come in once a year for a clinical evaluation, x-rays, and periodontal evaluation.

A night guard/bite plate must be worn where instructed.

In order to maintain reasonable oral hygiene, the patient must follow cleaning instructions. Failure to clean the teeth properly as directed will result in food entrapment, which could lead to infection and implant loss.
